Oral Cancer Screenings
When oral cancer is detected early, the five-year survival rate is around 83%. If it’s found later, however, only one in three survive the five-year period.
We use a handheld scope, VELscope, to screen for oral mucosal abnormalities which are not visible to the naked eye. If there are any suspicious red or white oral spots in your mouth, possible indications of oral disease, we can perform an OralCDx brush test. As we rotate the brush on a spot, its small bristles collect cells for diagnosis. Using advanced technology, we’re able to provide simple, quick, non-invasive tests that are potentially life-saving.
